Some lovely, sunshine-filled days in early February, allowed us to start work on the raised beds for our vegetable plants.

We were so grateful for the loan of ‘Nellie’ the mini-digger from Mick Hardesty and also for help from Al and Reet’s son, Paul.  We were able to strip back the turf and dig over the soil, ready for vegetable planting.

We are also going to put in more fencing around the vegetable garden to keep out the inevitable bunnies.  So we dug more trenches and put in more posts ready for the first line of defence!

We are also expecting more trees and hedging plants imminently so watch this space for more gardening and, hopefully, more sunshine!
