Indian Summer
The meadow slowly recovered from the fantastic heat and drought through the autumn and we were still experiencing very warm temperatures into October. As you can see from the pictures, many plants thrived, thanks to our regular watering regime and we didn’t lose a single one.
The penstemons were an amazing ‘doer’ right through the summer and into the autumn, only dying back at the first frosts. The verbena bonariensis was a close second but all the plants around the pond absolutely thrived and we couldn’t be more pleased with their first year’s display.
