Pond Border

Winter is coming

Well the year may have been dying in November, but Carmel certainly wasn’t and it seemed as though the plants hadn’t got the message that it was so late in the year!  As you can see from the many photos, the Indian summer of October had kept things going late into the year.

The colours of the cornus and the astonishing longevity of the pensetemons, coupled with roses and chrysanthemums in flower in mid-November were a stunning gift from our precious garden.  We look back on 2022 with a sense of satisfaction and look forward to 2023 wondering what it will bring us.
